Sanctuary Privacy Policy — Families
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Morning Bloom Care, LLC (“Sanctuary,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information from and about families and individuals seeking in-home care services (“Family Users” or “you”) through the Sanctuary platform, website, mobile applications, and related services (the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.
- Information We Collect. We collect information you provide, including account registration data, care needs information, AI-generated Care Profiles, communications, payment information if applicable, and feedback. We also collect device information, usage data, connection activity, location data, cookies, and information from third parties such as analytics providers and public sources.
- How We Use Your Information. We use your information to provide, operate, and improve the Platform; facilitate connections with caregivers; generate and display Care Profiles; display anonymized connection activity; operate AI-assisted tools; communicate with you; analyze trends; prevent fraud; enforce our Terms of Service; and comply with legal obligations.
- How We Share Your Information. When you initiate a connection, we share your Care Profile, contact information, and relevant care needs details with that caregiver. We also share information with service providers for hosting, payment processing, analytics, email delivery, and AI/LLM services. We may disclose information for legal and safety purposes, in business transfers, and in aggregated or de-identified form.
- AI and Large Language Model Processing. Information you provide during intake may be processed by third-party AI/LLM providers. We select providers with appropriate data processing agreements, but AI-generated Care Profiles may still contain inaccuracies. We do not use your health or care information to train AI models for unrelated purposes, and you should avoid providing sensitive information beyond what is necessary for care matching.
- Health-Related Information. Sanctuary is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA. However, we recognize that care needs information may include sensitive health-related data, treat it with heightened care, and limit its use to providing Platform services and facilitating caregiver connections. We do not sell health-related information for marketing purposes.
- Cookies and Tracking Technologies. We use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Platform, analyze usage, remember preferences, and deliver targeted content. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, though disabling cookies may affect Platform functionality.
- Data Retention. We retain information for as long as your account is active, as needed to provide services, and as required by legal obligations. After account deletion, we may retain certain data for up to 36 months for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.
- Data Security. We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
- Your Rights and Choices. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, deletion, opt-out of marketing communications, or data portability by contacting [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before processing requests.
- Texas Privacy Rights. We comply with the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act where applicable. Texas residents may exercise applicable rights by contacting [email protected].
- Children's Privacy. The Platform is not intended for use by individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children and will delete such information if discovered.
- Third-Party Links. The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content, and encourage you to review their policies.
- Changes to This Policy. We may update this Policy at any time by posting a revised version on the Platform. Material changes may also be communicated through the Platform or by email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
